Bad service and bad quality. Even if their shoes were the cheapest available in the US, Famous still represents a horrible value given the abysmal quality and non-existent in-store help. You can probably get better assistance buying shoes on-line than you can at Famous. No staff visible except one person at the register. My last pair of Perry Ellis shoes lasted 5 uses. They've now updated their return policy so shoes can only be returned within 30 days AND you must have original packaging (which you don't have). My shoes lasted 5 uses and 45 days, and they wouldn't accept the return, even with a receipt.
